The Butterfly Place
/Decided to check out The Butterfly Place in Westford with infamous photographer Tom G. Haran. Basically a butterfly factory of sorts, the lives of a butterfly only being 2 weeks allows for lots of turnover here. Talking with one of the employees there revealed that they have someone who hatches butterflies there and I do believe get shipments of other species of butterfly as well as moths quite regularly. There were small birds, some flightless who didn't seem interested in a diet of butterfly. To keep everything active in the room there is regular sprays of nectar which the butterflies live off as well as 80 degree temperature. A little after an hour in this atrium was a bit much with the heat, it was nice to know that I was leaving back into Massachusetts weather. I'll be back again soon but this time with shorts and a t-shirt.
